things maybe really are black and white
I think I've been asleep most of my life
sunsets
1. Went on a crazy musical/movie kick. Got through Footloose (such a classic), Chicago (which I still don't get), Sweeney Todd (LOVE), Phantom of the Opera (also don't get), RENT (LOVE LOVE LOVE), and Rocky Horror (:D). So much fun.

Also listened to The Last 5 Years. Not as epic as I had hoped, but the story itself made up for what I felt was lacking in the songs. (Still a fan of Jason Robert Brown, I tried to use my iTunes giftcard to download Songs for a New World, but it wasn't on iTunes. Boo. I FOUND IT!)

2. I went shopping. I bought SO MUCH STUFF. A dress, a skirt, a shirt, two pairs of shoes, and a jacket. Plus The Last 5 Years soundtrack and Death at a Funeral. It was a good day.

3. Currently using iTunes giftcard to download some Matt Nathanson instead. I'm very happy. Also got a free Ingrid download from being on her email list. :)

4. I wish I were more interesting. Hopefully an interesting update will show up after I see RENT on Friday. ♥

[M] learn to get by on little victories
17th-Jun-2009 02:54 am - "One swing ahead of the sword..."
I'm graduated! That's nice. Still doesn't feel much different, but maybe that's just 'cause I'm so glad to be done? It has been 13 years of schooling. :)

I'm also quite glad to have my own computer again. Just installed iTunes, which I'm glad to have back. The first thing I did after that was buy myself the Glee version of Don't Stop Believin'. That's right, guys, I'm already addicted. (Did y'all see the TV Guide article where they talked about maybe a Billy Joel episode in the future? I WOULD DIE. ♥)

There's probably more I could say, but I'm beyond exhausted. Goodnight, folks.

[H] you can't always get what you want
31st-May-2009 08:49 pm - "Steady hands just take the wheel..."
Too many things!

1. Jon Bernthal secret! Adore him. Miss The Class.

2. Speaking of which, saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee today. So much cute! So much fun! I was far enough away that I could pretend it was Jesse Tyler Ferguson down there. And I snuck pictures.
Here are the best ones... )

There are other pictures, but they're not great. :/

3. I read an article in [info]privatepractc that hinted that Cooper/Violet isn't over. WOO! The people there weren't psyched, but I'm ecstatic to hear that.

4. This quote about the Emmys made me lol:
"I don't know what they base their voting on. It seems like popularity and ratings aren't important." (source)
Ever heard the word 'quality', man?

[PP] lights will guide you home
1. I've watched the Glee pilot at least five times by now. It only gets better with each viewing. I don't know if I ever want to hear another version of 'Don't Stop Believin'' again. (Also, Kevin McHale's voice is my favorite. Unconventional choice? Maybe. Though Lea Michele's does run a close second. Though... I've heard her live; maybe I'm biased.)

2. I'm now 18. Don't feel any older yet. I'll wait 'til it sinks in.

3. I'm going to see the tour of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in Eugene next Sunday. I'm very excited. Because every show is different, this will kick some serious ass.

4. School is so. close. to. over. After next week, I'm basically done, with the exception of maybe two finals. I can taste it it's so close!

5. I really need to go to bed. One more load of laundry, and I'm off.

eta: 6. Saw Night at the Museum 2 last night. It was cute. JON BERNTHAL, GUYS. So cute. Even as Al Capone. And a couple of The Office cast members were in there (Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson), along with a few members of the Judd Apatow gang (Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Jay Baruchel). Also, Amy Adams is the most adorable woman ever.

[SA] just too unreal all this
1. Um, Kirk Acevedo fired from Fringe? D: He's my favorite, guys. (...also, I still haven't seen the Fringe finale. Whoops.)

2. Can't Stop the Serenity is coming up! I'm excited, but also a little disappointed for this year's show. Portland's doing two showings this year, but I will be forced to go to the 'All-Ages' one. Damn you, Cinema 21, for serving alcohol! (It doubly sucks because their second showing is going to be a "Special Hell" showing, where basically you can yell stuff out at the screen/mock mercilessly. This would be epic.)

3. Fall schedule stuff:
FTW: Dollhouse, Better Off Ted, & Chuck renewals
FTL: Dollhouse & Ugly Betty death slots, Cupid cancellation, Chuck midseason return

4. Watched The Family Stone last night. Came to the realization that I am Amy Stone. Good or bad? You tell me; I can't figure it out.

[S] salvation was just a passing thought
1. More coherent thoughts on: Bones finale... )

2. I don't know how much I can say about the Grey's finale... )

None of that had any substance, but hey. It's all good.

3. I've really gotta go work on my speech now.

[GA] crash and burn you're not alone
Let me just say one thing about the Bones finale:

I would've adored it to pieces if it weren't for the last, oh, ten seconds. The rest of it was epic. (Granted, I did laugh harder than ever because that was just so soap opera.)

I will now go watch the Grey's Anatomy finale, and finally get to work on my speech for tomorrow. Procrastination: 1, Work: 0

[E] think of her when the sun goes down
A meme for fun:
1. Pick 15 of your favourite movies.
2. Choose a quote from each movie and post them here for everyone to guess.
3. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
4. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions!

Let the games begin! )
